Journey Update

Sitting In A Chair

There’s not a lot you can do when you are reclining in a chair with 12 lights on you for four hours a day, four days a week. You are a prisoner of sorts, pinned down in a beige, leather recliner. It’s not all that bad, I read, listen to music, write, watch TV when the guy beside me watches Holmes on Holmes and Leave It To Bryan. I also have a lot of time on my hands to ponder about many different things. Today, during my treatment, the guy next to me was watching Holmes On Holmes and I had a thought pop into my mind about home renovations and how they relate to us. Personally, I feel I am in the midst of a renovation right now. There are things in my life (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) that need repair and even in some cases a complete ‘gut’ job. Thought patterns, belief systems, and certain behaviors need adjusting and realigning, so that I become a more mature person. A renovation is an intense undertaking, that takes time, energy and resources. A lot is involved when completing a renovation. There are many layers and many different trades people coming together to complete the job. In many ways that is what I and many others are going through right now. We have been fortunate to have amazing ‘trades’ (family & friends) people in our lives to help get the job done. There has been a lot accomplished in my renovation so far, but there is still much to be done. Continue to pray for us as a family. Pray for wisdom to know what to do and for the necessary resources to come in for my continued treatments. We are very grateful for the team that is in our corner. We feel loved and supported at this time. Thank you. #flipseanslife
