Can you believe it is already January 13, 2016? Honestly, where has the time gone? I just wanted to give a brief update with what has been happening with my treatments, and what my next steps are. Sometime this week I will be having some blood work done to see how my tumour markers are doing. Over the past two weeks, my doctor has increased by Vitamin C IV treatments to everyday, rather than twice a week. The reason for the increase isn’t because there are concerns, but rather because of the positive changes we are noticing.
The hope is if we continue to see changes in my body, to increase my dosages from daily to twice a day. It really is a full time job getting better, but it is worth it. I have been feeling the best I have in nearly 30 years. It can be frustrating at times being diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer because I feel as though I don’t even have cancer. It is a strange feeling knowing how good you feel while being informed you have cancer. It just doesn’t make sense.
With the increase of Vitamin C treatments, and all the other treatments I do, Jamie and I are believing for God’s provision for our family. We have been overwhelmed by all the support we have been shown these past 5 months. We are very grateful for our family and friends who have carried us through this difficult time with their prayers, encouragement, and generosity. We are confident God will continue to meet all our needs. He had led us this far, He isn’t about to let us go.
There is a lot of information out there on the effectiveness of Vitamin C IV therapy for cancer patients. If you want to learn more, check out this article.
