I’m Sorry & Tumour Markers

My apologies for not being very consistent with writing blog posts lately. I haven’t been motivated to do too much lately, but that seems to be changing. For the first time in over a month I am feeling like myself again and I am finally motivated to be productive as possible. I met with my oncologist yesterday and it was a good meeting. It was the first time I had seen him in a while so it was good to get caught up. Earlier in the day yesterday I had to get blood work done at the cancer clinic, so I went in early to get it done before my appointment. My results weren’t ready at the time of my appointment so we had to wait until later in the day to get the results. It wasn’t until about 6PM I received my tumour marker results and I was quite relieved to see where my numbers were at. To put things into perspective, listen to these numbers. In July when I had my blood work done, my tumour markers were at approximately 29. In August I had blood work done again and the marker numbers were at 43.5. In October, I had blood work done again and this time my numbers were at 20.2. My results yesterday were even better as my numbers are down to 16.3. That is amazing! Now I understand this doesn’t mean I am cancer free, but it does cause me to be quite excited and hopeful about my future. I am not out of the woods yet, but I can see some daylight. Thanks for your continued love and support.
