Journey

I Have Cancer

Summer Background 36

Never did I think I would utter those three words. I lost my biological mother to lung cancer last year and my mother died 8 years ago of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I know way too many stories of people who have lost a loved one to cancer. Even as I write this I cannot help but think this is all a dream. I can’t have cancer. I am a healthy, 39 year old male. Sure, I don’t always eat the way I should, but never in a million years did I think cancer would affect me personally. I have a thousand questions racing through my mind and I am scared. I don’t know what is going to happen but I am going to remain positive through this journey. I know my family and I are not alone and we are grateful for all the support we have. We choose to trust Him through this process and know that no matter what, He is good!

This page is to capture the journey my family and I are about to embark upon. I invite you to join us. Please feel free to leave your comments in the posts below. Also, send me your prayer requests. There are many people in our corner helping us and praying for us and I want to do the same for others. Email: sean@seansabourin.com

Sean …really understand were you are … the last 8 years I have been dealing with several health issues that have left me in and out of the hospital. with very little answers from the medical field, Judy and I have been on a journey with the Lord to learning a better way to get to the other side of my health crisis. In all the last 8 years, our lives have changed tremendously and what has occurred in the core of who we are has been a work by the potter. We have never stopped trusting him to see us through to the other side. We are praying for a full recovery. Seeing a natural path practitioner will help your recovery …

      Robert,
Thanks for sharing. I hold you is such high regard. You were an incredible encouragement and help while I was in TC. The choir I believe was one of the tools God used to change my life. the opportunities you gave us and the experiences we had, I will never forget. I do see a natural path and have for the past year or so. My wife is one who strongly believes in us seeing a natural path doctor. She is quite the student of our bodies and does a ton of research. Again, thanks for you love and support. Bless you! Say hi to Judy for me.

Hi Sean, I have known Micheline since 1993 and I feel like I vicariously know her family. I want you to know that my brother was diagnosed with stage 3 malignant melanoma and was told on July 3, 2012 that he had only 2-3 years to live. After undergoing traditional treatment, the prognosis was not good. He managed to get in to an experimental program which boosts his own immune system to attack new tumors and now is battling the tumors on his own and is off the treatment and doing well. Faith, prayers, family and positive attitude contributed greatly to his success. I know you will keep the faith and not give up. Don’t despair, you are loved and you will beat this! I will pray for you as I know many people will also. Leasa

Sean we are praying for you again. Our Father has answered our previous prayers for you and He is able to to that again. My nephew was like you He was healthy but went for a check up to please his wife because he had turned 50. They found he had collin cancer. They operated and he had treatments. He has a bag but seems to get along fine. He is able to almost do everything he did before. The doctors can do great thing s now. So never give up. Keep a positive lookout and I am sure God will help you through this. Your faith is being tested now. Don’t let the devil win. You can beat this. We have started praying for you. Your friends Jerry and Bernice Richards.

But in the midst of all the thoughts, options, concerns, reflections, fears, gratitude, appreciate of your family and friends, highs and lows there is that quiet whisper of the Lord letting you know that He’s gotcha.
