When I was a young boy, my father took up duck carving. He started taking courses and learned how to create something so amazing out of a block of wood. It was incredible watching the process. The amount of work and the long hours that went in to each of the creations. It was truly a labor of love for my dad. 30 years later, I am starting to create. Now, I am not as motivated as my father was, but I have begun to find enjoyment in creating. I am starting simple. I am cutting wooden letters and words with a scroll saw and then painting them. I love this new hobby. It is a exciting process to execute. Starting with an idea and then carrying it out. There is something invigorating about taking a block of wood and turning it into a item people appreciate.
Here are a few examples of what I have created so far.
